10,000 "page views" for FreedomToAct.com. Thank you loyal readers.

Redrant:   First off, the website traffic is steady, the interest in altering the smoking ban is still strong.  I haven't checked the traffic data in a while but this seems to be the key site for this effort.  I strongly encourage you to regularly visit http://freedomfight08.com/ which is the same as http://banthebanminnesota.com  The latter domain name is meant to coordinate with the Wisconsin effort.  Whatever you can remember.  Sean has been working very hard at this and he deserves more traffic for his fine website so spread the word.

Sean put a lot of effort into a "legislative scorecard". http://banthebanminnesota.com/government_scorecard.aspx  Check it out.  First off, vote in the upcoming election, it matters.    Next  consider financial aid to those candidates who are up for reelection and support our side.  This can be done with the Minnesota $50/$100 single, married couple refundable campaign donation.  Charity begins at home so try to find a supportive candidate in your area.  There are some criteria but the candidate has to disclose their eligibility.  Google them, email them and ask their position on the limited bar smoking exemption and their eligibility for the rebate.  Most are and will proudly state this.  If you send in a check note "$50/100 MN refund" on check and include a note stating that the donation is for the MN $50/100 refundable.  Basically a technicality but if they aren't they are legally obligated to return the check.

Also, keep in mind that the MN state computer does a cross check for back obligations like child support, unpaid taxes or fines but you should know about these.  If your clean you should receive a full refund in under 60 days.  I opted for direct deposit where I received a $50 direct deposit in three weeks (I was watching for a substantially larger property tax refund so when I saw the $50 deposit I "had a cow" but soon figured it out (the state of MN does not describe these well).  I have since received my full property tax refund direct deposit.  Let's say it was closer to four figure than three.  I didn't realise that I was eligible for the refund the previous year (deadline for filing for previous year 08-15-2008).  When I searched a few days back I found I missed the deadline on a $500+ refund)  Check out to see if you are eligible.  Do the research.   I'm sure all readers could use the money.  It's called the "circuit breaker".  Mention it to people to see if they are eligible.
